Trump suggests shooting at migrants’ feet, snakes with snakes and alligators

Streljanje v noge, napeljava elektrike v zid, jarki z vodo, kače in aligatorji. Vse to naj bi bili predlogi ameriškega predsednika Donalda Trumpa, kako zaustaviti prebežnike na južni meji z Mehiko, poroča The New York Times.

US President Donald Trump is proposing to shoot migrants in the legs to stop them or slow them down, according to The New York Times. This is supposed to happen at a time when he also proposed complete closure of the southern border with Mexico.

The New York Times summarizes a new book, “Border Wars: Inside Trump’s Assault on Immigration,” which cites interviews with several White House officials – reporting “a wild week of Presidential rage” as statistics show that despite his rhetoric, the number of illegal border crossings is growing.

In addition to shooting his feet, he also suggested installing electricity into a wall on the border with Mexico, which would have peaks at the top that could tear a human city, as well as trenches with water in front of a wall full of snakes or alligators.

During that period of anger, he also decided to get rid of advisers and associates who were opposed to tightening migration policy, with strong support from advisor Stephen Miller. Former Homeland Security Minister Kirstjen Nielsen was also loyal at the meeting at the time, advocating a policy of separating migrant children from their parents and locking them in cages. That didn’t help her either, since Trump fired her in April after all.
